  • An absolute must see! What an incredibly moving performance that truly touched my heart. I'm in awe of your strength, courage and determination to share your story in such a creative and impactful way. Many will find this relatable and will realize, they too can heal from their traumatic experiences and make positive changes for themselves. Thanks for making a difference by shining your light and spreading your love.
    - Cheryl
  • Tonight I sat centre stage centre theatre and LOVED every minute of your show, Lisa ❤️ I laughed. I cried. I felt your story. I'm proud of you and your triumphs. Keep living your dreams, Lisa! Thank you for sharing them with us.
    ❤️ - Alysse
  • I was blown away by this performance. Every character was so distinct, there was no question when one character ended and another began. I laughed so hard and also fought back tears during this performance. The songs and acting were Broadway level and this is a show that needs to be seen on a huge stage. Well done!! You addressed some really heavy themes with grace and love❤️
    ~ Shelley
  • Since seeing your performance, I have told every single person I encounter that it is a “not to be missed” performance. I even texted a few friends I haven’t been in contact with in months just because I knew they shouldn’t miss it! I can’t even begin to tell you how much I enjoyed the show… I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. The brilliant and sometimes subtle ways you alert the audience to a character change was mesmerizing… the transitions were incredible… the performance was so flawless… your timing SO exceptional… that I was certain you had performed the play countless times. I was gobsmacked when you told us in the parking lot that what we had just witnessed was only your seventh performance. You hit ALL of your goals; made me laugh, made me think and made me feel something deep. From my heart BACK to yours… thank you for sharing such a personal story… but also for sharing your incredible talent and brilliant creativity.
    ~ Janice

  • Incredibly well done. Would highly recommend!

  • It really is baffling how the world tries to keep us small. Like that ‘Gopher Game’ in carnivals where you take a mallet and bonk peeking heads of gophers back in their holes. Lisa’s dueling personalities, ‘Warrioress’ and ‘Shame’ are in all of us as we grow and develop to discover who we are. Most of us can relate to the narcissistic parent whom we can never get approval from. Lisa is more than triple threat! Playwright, Acting, Song writer, Singing, AND Dancing? She needs a bigger theatre!
    - Pamela
  • A very brave, honest and inspiring show. Our parents that are supposed to be our guiding lights do not always come properly equipped with the life tools we need to help us solve our problems, and when their toxic behavior is in fact at the root of many of our problems, it can be quite a journey to overcome them. This show takes us on that journey, and shows us the light at the end of the tunnel!
    - David
  • I loved Lisa’s transformations from character to character and back again, her commitment to facing the hard parts of the story head on, yet with compassion and the incredible music that anchors the play. A moving journey. Lisa commands the stage with her chameleon-like transformations. Extremely relatable, devastating and hilarious. Pulls no punches. A frank, playful and nakedly honest odyssey.
    - Ben
  • I loved EVERYTHING. OMG! Her movements were precise. Her characters were well-defined. Her story was well-paced and since it was about her personal journey to self-love, I thought Lisa really nailed highlighting the exact right parts to get her story across. No moment felt wasted or extraneous. The whole show was so polished and powerful. This story is sure to touch many, many hearts. If you need a self-love pick-me-up, THIS SHOW IS FOR YOU. You will leave feeling beautiful and empowered!
    - Bonnie
  • Great show ! The Multi Media and Singing was great ! Her vulnerability will continue to inspire and encourage others. She did a great job bringing multiple characters to life.
    - Gordon
  • Easily one of the top 3 best solo performances at the festival-no question. I still cannot believe Lisa is a first time performer & writer; she commands the stage and pen like a seasoned pro. Her message of self love starting from a child to present day is so inspiring. The idea of self love is lacking in our society and very needed right now. I hope as many female identifying people can see this show as possible! I LOVED her music and use of a live accompanist. Her piano player offered so much dynamic support to the production. I loved her theatrical portrayal of “Shame” and “Warrioress” contrasting with her central, realistic character of Luna and her Therapist character-this created excellent conflict and tension.
    - Shelley
  • The entire show was well written and performed, her songs were so incredible and beautifully integrated into the story-lines. Lisa’s voice is so powerful and beautiful to listen too, I found myself singing along and getting lost in the moment which was a wonderful experience. She kept my attention the entire show, I couldn’t keep my eyes off of her as she weaved in and out of characters and took me along the journey, so captivating. The message behind the show was very impactful, a lot of people struggle and this show brings some hard truths to light. Not an easy task bringing hard topics to the forefront and in a way that in inspiring and heart felt. I can’t wait to see where this show goes, everyone needs to see it! This show needs a bigger stage and a soundtrack!
    - Eric
  • FINALLY a solo show actor who actually embodies each character FULLY! It’s a tough job, but Pezik is up to the task. And the songs she sings aid her in conveying her message of self-love… and reminding the audience that being “Too Big for your Britches” can be a GOOD thing.
    - Steve
  • Her lifelong struggle of self-acceptance is a universal journey
    - Shari Barret, Broadway World
  • A gold medal. Lisa Pezik is this side of amazing....
    - Ernest, Tvolution
  • A beautifully honest, brave and vulnerable piece about having the courage and wisdom to finally love and accept ourselves. Lisa is 100% committed to every character, as she explores very personal and challenging moments of her past. Finally, through lots of inner work, she discovers true love in herself and in her life mate. Her songs are great, physicality and vocal quality of each of her many characters, and it is very cleverly staged. It’s funny, poignant, and beautifully written. A beautiful reminder to all of us that fully loving ourselves is why we are here. Congrats Lisa!!
    - Eli
  • Lisa Pezik is a wonder. She magically transforms and breathes life into multiple, authentic characters. Her acting range is incredible, especially her ability to show vulnerability. You will laugh and cry. Come see this show! Loved the script, music, acting and tech. A true kaleidoscope of art.
    - Lynn
  • Lisa Pezik’s journey of self-love and mental health awareness through her character Luna is powerful, and at the same time subtle. Though her story is undeniably hers, with her own personal experiences, it is one so many people can relate to in these times where connection is so important. The original songs and live accompaniment were dynamic. And Lisa’s willingness to share the truths of her story, scars and all, are unforgettable.
    - MaryLee
  • This was a fully embodied performance. What must have taken tremendous work to craft looks effortless as Lisa weightlessly transforms from character to character and buoyantly moves thru this triumphant performance. In Too Big for Her Britches, Lisa reveals the heavy hurts of childhood and adulthood, revealing the wounded self with a lightness that allows us to travel with her without burden. Ultimately, we can all celebrate the grand accomplishment of healing work that Lisa guides us through.I especially loved the therapy scenes, both the ones that didn’t work and then the ones that did. I loved seeing how the transformation fast tracked once Luna found a good healer to support her.
    - Jenna
  • This show is a masterpiece of Solo Theater. Lisa pours her heart out on the stage. Loved it all. She fully embodies the characters. The audience experiences a full range of emotions. Her original songs add to the overall story. An amazing story with a message to everyone. Lisa’s show is an inspiration.
    - Larry
  • Lisa is a wonderful performer who brings precision and passion to each of her characters. She takes us on a beautiful and deeply relatable journey toward self love, while she gracefully glides from one character to the next with aplomb. A wonderful show!Lisa’s is a deeply vulnerable and brave storyteller. Her embodiment and presence are powerful. Her heart shines strong through this piece. She brings a deep love to her characters and her self, and we in the audience can feel it. It is a strong transmission. Beautiful work Lisa. You shine bright!
    - Joyful
  • The theme- well there were various themes. There was singing and dancing. It was well put together and the story was clear. There was no unnecessary clutter. Such vulnerability on stage spoke to me as a woman. There was a great mix of characters. The American Sign Language interpreter was excellent. She fit right in. A relatable story that is part of our society today.
    - Raven
  • Lisa Pezik was just meant to be on stage. What a journey she took us on. Wow, she is big, in the best sense of the word. She just shines on stage. She is light. She is a star. Plus she can really sing. Her journey to self love is inspirational.
    - Barbara
  • I was amazed with Lisa’s artistic prowess, her ability to truly capture her audience with her presence/energy was spellbinding. The stories she weaved through to underline the main thesis led to a beautiful final moment, a full circle moment of profound self acceptance. I was so inspired! I loved the live accompaniment for the songs, the original lyrics were so profound and catchy, makes you want to sing them for days after! We need an album release of your songs Lisa! Thank you for all of you brought to the stage.
    - Kristelle
  • Such an incredible musical with amazing songs, beautiful voice, and a powerful story.
    - Charlotte
  • What an awesome experience this show was! Lisa’s portrayal of so many different characters was both funny and moving at different times, and I came away singing several of her catchy songs even days later. This is a story that will help so many women feel less alone and like there is hope for a happier life!
    - Anonymous
  • Very entertaining personal piece with an important message of self-love with beautiful music and lyrics. WOW!!! The time went by fast. The performance was fun to watch. Very well thought out. The music was really fantastic and left me wanting more.
    - Nicholas
  • Lisa is a passionate performer, lyricist, and all around artist. The music was catchy and creative and the multiple characters she played were distinct. The show was executed with perfect comedic timing throughout although it surrounded heavy topics such as eating disorders and abuse, which is a difficult skill to master. It was a fantastic show with a powerful message of self-love and overcoming trauma.
    - Mareshah
  • I don’t know Lisa very well (or rather, she doesn’t know me very well — after seeing this show it feels like I do know her!) so this might be odd to say, but I am SO PROUD of her. What an honest and beautifully shared story. Empowering and vulnerable and brave. Brava!
    - Alison
  • The music was beautiful and iconic. I still have the song “Smaller” stuck in my head. Loved everything about it.
    - Jairis
  • What I love about this show is how honest it is. The message is simple but powerful: self love, self love, self love. Who hasn’t had that voice of Shame tell us we are not good enough? Lisa does a masterful job at making the audience feel Luna’s struggles. Her energy on stage and her commitment to the honesty of the character was honestly inspiring. And of course, having really great empowering music added to this very powerful story that I believe a lot of people could connect to! Broadway bound! Congrats!
    ~ Azo
  • Heck Yeah! Fantastic show! Vulnerable, funny, sad, empowering…after watching her show, I felt uplifted.
    ~ Miyo
  • I absolutely loved this show. Lisa did an amazing job – powerful performance!! Loved the roller-coaster of emotions and real talk about life. I laughed; I cried. I was tell-ported through time and could relate to so many things in this show! The ups and downs and revelations
    ~ Clarissa
  • MY HUSBAND SEAN SAYS: "This was an honest and courageous performance that succeeded in articulating complex issues in a compressed period. Her use of inner voices revealed what happens to all of us even though most of us are not brave enough to face it. Be prepared. There are difficult topics, but through facing these, we can all gain insight into our past and how it affects us today. This is a show for everyone [adult]." I, AMY SAY: Lisa is a creative, powerful, and magnetic storyteller. Every moment, every character pulled me in! While you may not share the same life story as Lisa, she is brilliant at tugging at the essence of what we all need and desire as humans: To feel and be loved. She carries us across the emotional spectrum from happy moments into those deeper human territories we may find ourselves stuck and feeling very much alone. It is human to experience inner conflict and loneliness. And it is through Lisa's gift (along with a ton of hard and passionate work behind it) we gain memorable examples of what is possible through and beyond those struggles. Thank you, Lisa, for shining your light on the world--and to all who helped make this show possible!
~ Amy and Sean, Life Coaches
  • Holy f**K! I’ve been an avid fringer for the past 10 years. That is one of the best plays I’ve ever seen! It was so well done it appeals both to woo woo’ers and those who have no woo! I can see how much work you put into it, it was smooth like butter. The thing I love most about it was your message of self love, finding and dealing with your shit, and moving into a bigger life. This was so inspirational for me and I can see it speaks to a large percentage of people. I really hope you get it into a lot more Fringe festivals as a virtual play. And I also think you should get it into junior high and high schools as it speaks to all ages and could do the best work with the least confident of our society.
~ Sheri, Assistant to Dr. Ganz Ferrance
  • Oh my effen god you are amazing. Your show was fabulous. You are an amazing person 100x over. Than you for sharing your life experiences. Putting yourself out there is not easy and you’ve done it with style and grace!
~ Clifton Corbin, Author, Financial Expert
  • I streamed your show. Wow! You were so terrific. Your script was great, the characters were amazing, your songs were to die for good! I just loved them all. And what a beautiful love story with Greg. Such an inspiring story of overcoming (sadly), toxic mothering. I love your therapists line about two ways to grow with trauma- that’s so very true. I thought your therapist was way better than many characterizations, but most therapists don’t ring true to me as a therapist myself. Good luck with future performances, that’s my hymn of praise!
~ Mary Guillermin, therapist and solo theatre actress
  • OMG what a ride, I just finished watching it because I couldn't let this day end without seeing it for myself. Thank you for doing this, the entire journey has been incredible to be part of, and what a voice on you women! Well done and I would love to see this again each stage adds to the story. Standing virtual ovation darling and thank you for giving me a much needed theatre fix!
    ~ Yvonne Bradshaw, Financial Advisor
  • I am STILLLLL blown away by your solo play last night! It was spectacular....YOU, the delivery of it all, the messages it relayed, your portrayal of the guys in your Life (hilarious, btw), the way "Shame" spoke and acted 'her' was ALL beautifully done!
    ~ Connie Kann, Coach
  • While most of us were baking banana bread,or buying overpriced gym equipment or some other numbing activity to get through the pandemic, my friend not only learned to act, sing, and play piano, she wrote a one-woman play about her experiences with a narcissistic mother, shame, making herself smaller to find love, and growing up. AND performed it for the first time in Los Angeles last week. We watched the virtual performance last night and were so impressed. Even though I knew her story, I was captivated throughout the entire thing. Lisa your courage, discipline, curiosity and yes, talent, are so impressive. Thank you for sharing it all with us.
~Janet Whalen, Sleep Coach for Women
  • This show kills! Loved it virtually! Great singer. Master of voices. Excellent directing. Harsh truths!
    ~ Pina Sbrocca, Solo Actress
  • I thought I was attending a table reading and Lisa delivered a full-blown experience on my computer screen. If I knew I would be moved from laughter to tears and everything in between I would have not worn mascara that day. Her characters are so vivid, her songs touch your heart, and I could feel Lisa's energy through the camera lens. At that point, which was very early on in the process, I said the only thing that will make this better is the stage to unleash Lisa. I want to see more. I still find myself singing her original songs and will be one of the first in line for the soundtrack. If you've ever struggled with self (and we all have) this is a MUST SEE. I can't give it justice in my words - you just have to SEE IT, EXPERIENCE it! Incredibly powerful!
~ Karen Wilson, Author of Be Weightless
  • When Lisa takes the stages, she steals your heart. Takes your breath away. And transforms the moments you get to share with her in the experiences she creates. Her work will change your life, if you let it. See this show.
~ Ginger Johnson, Professional Speaker & Author
  • Too Big For Her Britches" is a MUST see show! If you can only choose one show this year, it MUST be this one. I couldn’t stop thinking about it for days. Lisa had me mesmerized from the minute the show started until the ending. It touched me in many ways. It has depth – it’s raw, bold and tender. I cried, I laughed, and I cheered. My only wish was that the show was even longer as it’s that good. The message is powerful, needs to be heard and life changing. The music is contagious, and you will want it on your go-to play list. It’s one play that I will see multiple times and can’t wait for its Broadway debut!
Amy Jo Esser, Speaker and Voice Coach
  • I laughed, I cried, I healed. Lisa has a powerful story with a well-crafted performance. The central themes that we all struggle with have you growing and healing right alongside Luna. A must see!
Dana Pharant Intuitive Business Coach and Master Healer
  • From the very beginning of Lisa's show, I was captivated by her story. Lisa's storytelling sparked so many emotions inside of me and took me on an inspiring journey as I cringed in fear for her, laughed in pure joy, and was inspired by her strength and perseverance though her whole presentation. I loved Lisa's songs, her message, and her characters. Each touched a part of my heart and have changed me for the better because I was honoured to watch her show.
Suzanne Longstreet, CPQC, TNLP, TCYF, TCHt Mental Fitness Coach & NLP Master Coach
  • The table reading of 'Too Big For Her Britches' was like NOTHING I have EVER witnessed in my 59 years on the a fellow performance artist. Lisa channeled this incredible expression of her very relatable & moving Story into such beautiful ART. We (the audience) were with her every breath of the way as she relived her experience through prose & song...playing every character in the most fascinating & entertaining way. I cannot WAIT to see this incredible show on Broadway where it NEEDS to be, as at a deeper level, I believe it will help humanity heal much trauma as most of us were not raised in the families we wanted. I believe that most of us were raised in the families we NEEDED to turn some of us into those who can help to heal the Lisa Pezik.
